policies
We are committed to helping you get the most of your spa experience. You will be with like-minded people seeking a relaxing atmosphere. To this end, we ask that you observe the following spa etiquette:
Booking Appointments
We reserve the right to ask for a credit card in order to hold your appointment(s). You will be required to prepay your next appointment(s) if you’ve cancelled late or missed a previous appointment. We encourage you to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment, so you can have enough time to complete our forms (if applicable), change into your robes and relax in the waiting room.
Cancellations
If you must cancel or reschedule a reservation, please give us at least 24 hours notice. If you cancel late or miss an appointment, we will charge a 50% cancellation fee of booked service(s).
Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in our prices but are gladly welcomed. The normal benchmark for gratuities in the service industry is 15-20%. We will have small envelopes available at the desk when you check out or if you prefer you may hand it to your therapist directly.
Refrain from talking loudly in public areas
We would like to do our very best to not interfere with the relaxation of other guests. Although we have taken an extra step to dampen sound from the walls and ceilings during our construction phase, it is never enough and is often difficult to consistently maintain a quiet public space. Your cooperation in this regard as well as being mindful of other guests’ space will be helpful and extremely appreciated.
Cell phones
We request that all cell phones, pagers and laptops are turned off or muted and left in the lockers before commencing the service. Our front desk phones are available for your use and the staff will gladly take any messages for you. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal property.
Medical conditions
If you have any type of medical condition (including fever or the flu), be sure to mention it when you book an appointment. Our staff is not trained in the medical field and cannot diagnose medical conditions. We reserve the right to refuse service at the time of your visit if you present any visible signs of the flu or other transmissible diseases/conditions, including but not limited to cough or fever. We prefer that you reschedule your appointment ahead of time if you know that you have such symptoms. You must present written clearance from your doctor if you are still showing visible signs of disease and wish to receive our services. Certain services may not be appropriate for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your massage therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns.
Communication
We want you to thoroughly enjoy your experience. Please be sure to communicate preferences to your therapist (the amount of pressure, room temperature, whether you want conversation or silence, etc). Please let your therapist or a staff member know immediately if you are uncomfortable for any reason. Changes can only be made if we are aware of a problem at the time of service.
Gift Cards
Gift Cards cannot be exchanged in whole or in part for cash. Gift Cards are transferable with notice from
cardholder and not replaceable if lost or stolen. You must present the physical gift card at the time of service in order to redeem it in whole or in part for services. No further discounts can be applied towards gift cards sold to members (at a discounted price) or any services associated with it. Gift cards expire 7 years from the date of purchase. Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. All spa policies apply.
Children
We love the little ones. However, this is a time to focus on the grown-ups. We recommend that you make childcare arrangements beforehand and enjoy your time alone. Our spa environment will accept young teens under 16 years old only if accompanied by an adult.
No food allowed
Please do not bring food and beverages in the spa. We offer complimentary fruits and drinks.
Attire
We will provide the necessary towels, robes, slippers and disposable underwear for you to wear during your treatment. It is up to you to decide what is most comfortable when receiving a massage or body treatment. Our therapists will leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the table, keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are working on and will leave the room before you get up from the table.
Jewelry
We recommend that you leave your jewelry at home if possible and prefer that you wear your rings at all times. Please be mindful of where you leave your jewelry. Frantic searches in robe pockets or elsewhere in the treatment room can be stress producing for all involved. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your personal property.
Shaving
If you need to shave, please do it at least two hours before receiving your facial. If you have booked a body scrub we highly recommend shaving the day before as rubbing salt onto the slightest razor wound will not be a very relaxing experience.
Sun
Please be aware that some treatments may expose brand new skin to the elements. An application of a high SPF product is recommended especially for the first few days after the treatment. Our facial treatments are concluded with a moisturizer containing an SPF of 15 or above.
Having Meals
It is best not to receive massage on a full stomach, so please schedule meals or snacks to allow at least an hour before your treatment. Drink water, especially if hot soaks and wraps are part of your package. Since massage introduces clean, oxygenated and nourished fluids into your tissues and stimulates your body to purge toxins, it is important to flush them out by drinking plenty of water.
